*** Upcoming trips
Climbing
* Leslie (leslie@alternatives.org) is looking for a climbing partner
for going to the Gunks this Friday.
Backpacking
* Katie (kak49) wants to go backpacking this weekend. She's thinking
of going to the Adirondacks, leaving Friday night, coming back early
Sunday afternoon. She's open to suggestions, and needs a car.
* Adam (atw25) wants to go backpacking in the Adirondacks (Great
Range), leaving Friday, returning Sunday. Parents will provide a place
and hot meal on the first night.
Caving
* Simeon and Kara will conduct a caving survey in Schoharie County and
are looking for more participants. You will need some previous
experience in caving and some training in survey techniques. Contact
Simeon (simeon@cs.cornell.edu) or Kara (klp37@cornell.edu) for
training opportunities.
* Kara (klp37) may go caving in the Adirondacks. Not a beginner trip.

* Welcome new members!
* Next week, Ari will present an educational program on what to wear
on winter trips.
* Carlos is organizing trail cleanup, details forthcoming. It will be
on a weekend, not this one, but perhaps the following.

*** Trips past
* Jason led a beginer caving trip to Clarksville. It was wet but fun.
* Brendan, Scott, Daniel, and Gil went paddling at the powerstation.
It was freezing cold due to colder-than-usual exhaust water and wind,
but good practice.
* Stefan & Annegret went to the Gunks and tried to climb, but
encountered lots of snow and wetness.
* Kara, Zay, et al explored above ground fissures near Syracuse,
looking for caves.
