• Nature Conservancy has purchased 160,000 acres of Adirondack wildlands, much of it is expected to eventually become state land. Includes parts of Hudson River Gorge, southern foothills of High Peaks, and OK Slip Falls

Trips That Were

• Armanda led an ultimate frisbee game on Saturday with about 15 others.
• John took Armanda and others wind surfing on Cayuga Lake Sunday.
• Matt and others hiked in Connecticut Hill state land on Sunday in hot weather.
• Rima, Dave, Meena, and Ari canoed about 15 mi of the Delaware on Sunday.

Trips That Shall

• Leslie will lead a beginner rock climbing trip, leaving evening of Fri, Jul 20 and returning Sun, Jul 22 (lackerman@alternatives.org)
• Dave will organize some gorge swimming later this week (dmk58@cornell.edu)
• Kaly wants company for berry picking on Saturday (spiderfobenomore@earthlink.net)
• Ari wants to hike the Great Range in the Dacks in a day this weekend (20 mi, rugged terrain, arduous), but is open to something less arduous depending on interest. Leaving afternoon or evening of Fri, Jul 13 and returning evening Sun, Jul 15. (ate2@cornell.edu)
