Gear night

• Education chair: Contact Leslie if you'd like to be education chair, or have a program.
• We now have much better lighting in the gear room.
• The Dragon Boat club is looking for members. Theodor will announce more details on the mailing list.
• We are now on a new membership dues cycle. Please pay your dues, if you haven't already, so that you can continue to go on club trips.
• The Sterling Creek Amazing Race on August 20 at Sterling Nature Center is a kayak/canoe race & fundraiser. Registration form and information available at http://www.cayuganet.org/canoerace .

Trips that were

• Emilie climbed at the Gunks.
• Jason led a climbing workshop at Simeon's with Don, and later had fun climbing at the eco cabin.
• Ari et al paddled & hiked in the Adirondacks over the weekend.
• Alan paddled on Cayuga at East Shore on Thursday.
• Alan, Brendan, Lindsay, and Anima windsurfed at East Shore with the windsurfing club on Saturday. If interested, join the windsurfing list (windsurfing-l) to find out about more trips.
• Leslie and Simeon went climbing, and encountered some bird hatchlings on the climb.
• Jim, Brendan, and Jamie paddled in Cascadilla gorge.
• Emilie hiked in a pretty little gorge called Paradise.
• Aimee and Luke went on a longer than expected hike on Sunday.
• Daniel and Ben paddled across the lake, and encountered a sonar barge.
• Matt went to the beach in New Hampshire

Trips that will be

Wheels

• Brendan (bsk25): "Unicycle gaming" at North Campus Dodgeball Court. They will play various two-legged games on one wheel, e.g. ultimate & tag. Wed 5-6PM.
• Matt (matt@clarityconnect.com): inline skating on (small) hills. Sunday afternoon.

Paddling

• Beth (bak34): Beginnerish whitewater trip to Salmon River. Space still available. Sunday.
• Simeon (simeon@cs.cornell.edu): Canoeing in the Adirondacks. August 13-14.

Backpacking

• Don (don@isc.astro.cornell.edu): Backpacking in the Adirondacks, Friday night/Saturday morning to Sunday evening.
