*** Upcoming trips
== Food
* COC barbecue on Friday, May 9 at 5 PM before the meeting (coincident
  with paddling). If you have an instrument, bring it! There will be a
  jam session. It is a non-mandatory potluck, so if you want to eat 
  something other than BBQ, bring it. There are some Cornell food 
  regulations to comply with, contact Rima (ks382) for details.

== Climbing
* Don (don@isc.astro.cornell.edu) will lead a beginner-appropriate 
  climbing trip, weather-permitting. Sat or Sunday, depending on
  weather. This will be a 1 day only trip to Little Falls.
* Katie (kak49) wants to go on a pre-exam climbing trip to the Gunks 
  on May 8/9.

== Paddling
* Brendan (bsk25) will lead a paddling trip sometime this weekend.
* Jason (jm349) is planning to do a long-distance kayak tour from the
  ends of Cayuga lake sometime in Sunday.

== Caving
* Adam (atw25) wants to go caving this weekend, most likely Sunday. 
  Transportation needed.

Anyone who wishes to be a chair should contact incoming or outgoing
officers.

EMS is having its 20% off annual sale Friday and Saturday. On
Thursday, they are having a presale for card-carrying members of
outdoor club.

Friends of the library booksale is happening right now, which is a
potential source of guidebooks as well as other cool books. April
29-May 4, and May 6-9 at 509 Esty St. (http://www.booksale.org/)

Kara (klp37) needs a vehicle to carry new caving gear up to Japes.

Simeon (simeon@cs.cornell.edu) and Ari (ate2) will be participating
in the General Clinton Canoe Race, a 70 mile ride, which will take
place memorial day weekend http://www.canoeregatta.org/

* Brendan surfed at Fish Creek.
* Jim paddled the Sacandaga drainage.
* Annegret and Leslie climbed the Gunks.
* Ari day trip to Old Forge to pick out some touring kayaks. They 
  still need to be picked up.
* Matt & Laura went on a pre-meeting birdwatching trip (hopefully the
  first of many) around Beebe Lake.
* Herdis surfed in Hawaii.
