Meeting Minutes of 2 February 2007

Announcements:

• Gear night: Thurs 6-7 with Rayko
• new and improved Japes! we now have warmth (a new stove) and wireless!
• anyone interested in designing/printing club t-shirts should email Matt (mth24)
• anyone who wants to be approved to take out climbing gear should email Rayko (rh239)
• upcoming presentations: in March -- Steve Kress, April 24 -- Bob Marshall
• anyone interested in giving a presentation or with an idea for a presentation should email Matt (matt@clarityconnect.com)
• return your library books!

Trips that were:

• Ben went to Scott's Hollow cave in WV
• Rima went xc skiing on Sunday at Hammond Hill with Nick, Zay, Ari, and Kara)
• Matt, Rima, and Kira went tele skiing at Greek Peak on Thursday.
• Matt and Rima learned why it's a bad idea to put your car in a ditch.
• Danielle went to Tug Hill to see dogsled races
• A bunch of people went to see Banff in Syracuse on Tuesday. They hung out with SU outing club folks afterwards.

Trips that will be:

• Ari, Kara, Ben, and Peggy will lead a beginner caving trip to Clarksville this Saturday. Contact Ari before gear night (ate2).
• Rima will be tele'ing at Greek Peak on Sunday (10:30 to 2 or 3). No instruction offered, so should have at least some experience. (ks382)
• Don will lead a beginner ice climbing trip on Sunday, conditions dependent. (don@astro.cornell.edu)
• Kara will lead skiing on the golf course this Thursday, maybe Sunday as well. Conditions dependent. (klp37)
• Leslie wants to gauge interest in a trip to Telefest at Mad River Glen, which is March 10th and 11th. Trip would leave Friday and spend that night in Glens Falls, then camp at Mad River Glen for Saturday night. (leslie@alternatives.org)
• Dan will lead pool paddling on Sunday, March 11th from 7-10 pm. Space is limited, so be sure to contact him. (did4)
