Japes Lodge

Japes Lodge has been home to the Cornell Outing Club for many decades. We don't know of the club's history with Japes prior to the late 1940s, but it has been our home for at least that long.

Originally Japes held skating supplies for Beebe Lake winter festivities in its lower floor (our current clubhouse) and a cafeteria in an upstairs floor which no longer exists -- it burned many years ago.

Now it is home to our gear, our cozy meeting hall, and departure point for many trips.
