Blizzards, Glaciers and Volcanoes?? Mt. Rainier has it all

A presentation of a recent mountaineering expedition to the top of Mt. Rainier (14411ft, the most glaciated mountain in the contiguous US). Come over to get a glimpse of the beauty and the challenges this massive volcanic peak has to offer.

Last summer three Outing Club members climbed Mt. Rainier. Siddharth Karkare, Robert Sparks, and Mike Ehrlichman will present slides of their adventure.

Everyone is welcome!

When: Tuesday Sept 27, 2011 7:30 PM (at the conclusion of our regular Outing Club meeting)
Where: Japes Lodge, Cornell University
