Whitewater MooseFest Trip

Cornell Outing Club Intermediate / Advanced Whitewater Moosefest Trip October 14-16

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER TRIP. THIS SHOULD NOT BE YOUR FIRST RIVER. YOU NEED TO BE EXPERIENCED ENOUGH TO JUDGE BY YOURSELF WHAT RAPIDS / LINES YOU CAN RUN AND WHAT YOU CAN'T.

Moosefest, Lyons Falls, NY http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/Calendar/view-event/event/2728 http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=193018010744166

Angela, Peter, and Kress will lead a trip down the Middle Moose (III) and depending on conditions, possibly the Lower Moose (IV) and/or other nearby waterways (Fish, Woodhull, etc...). Possible park 'n huck at selected spots on the Bottom Moose (Agers). Kress is interested in running Bottom Moose (V). You need to be a solid class V boater to run Bottom Moose; otherwise talk to Kress directly about your skills and concerns.

Drytop and wetsuit or drysuit mandatory (COC has some). Must have a solid roll. Participation requires prior approval from trip leaders. It is COLD that time of year (as in frequently snowing) and we do not want to be picking up the pieces if you get in over your head. Email us if you have questions (Angela amb82, Peter hl645, Kress mkw62)
